Custom Decal Printing

I draw and print my own decal graphics and have a full color (including white toner) laser printer. I decided to offer this service as the number of outlets that can print small-run (or single-sheet) decals that include white printing seems to dwindling away. White printing for decals is desirable not only for white markings, but so a white underlayer can be added to all markings on a decal sheet. Without this underlayer, decals can appear semi-translucent when applied to a surface; the underlayer makes the markings pop.

This service is intended for people who have artwork prepared and ready to go and are just looking for someone to print it. My usual decal paper has an off-white backing, buy I can use blue paper (better for white markings) if necessary.

Your artwork must have the markings or images to be made into decals in a separate layer (or layers) over a transparent background and correctly sized with a dots-per-inch setting suitable for printing. If your artwork contains a white underlayer of the type needed for ALPS printing, please remove it. My printing process still provides an opaque underlayer to all markings but does so without a layer needing to be present in the artwork.

Ideally, your artwork will be in vector format as this gives the best results, but I will print pixel-based imagery if that's what you send. Be advised that what you send me is what will be printed. I don't do any editing to artwork. I prefer artwork in .PDF format but can export Illustrator or Photoshop files if need be. If you've read this far and have no idea what I'm talking about, there's a very informative page here you may want to read.

At this time, I don't do any decal sheet drawing, graphics creation or image editing work for hire...I just print decals, sorry!

My cost to print decals is $20 per sheet, plus Priority Mail postage. Currently, for the U.S., a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope is $7.60. There's room for negotiation for jobs over 5 sheets...just ask when you make your inquiry.
